Exemptions for batteries
Generally, all batteries and accumulators are subject to producer responsibility for batteries; however, in a few cases your business may be exempted from your producer responsibility. These are mentioned in the Battery Order.
Which batteries are exempted?
The duty of registration and reporting under the producer responsibility for batteries does not apply to batteries and accumulators used in:
- equipment connected with the protection of Denmarkâs essential security interests, including arms, munitions and other equipment intended for specifically military purposes.
- Equipment designed to be sent into space.
