Producer responsibility in relation to the duty of registration and reporting in the producer/importer register applies to businesses producing/importing, registering, and selling new or second-hand passenger cars (M1) and small trucks (N1) in Denmark. Producer responsibility applies to new as well as to second-hand imported cars.
At the moment, we have no car manufacturers in Denmark. In practice, therefore, businesses importing cars to Denmark are subject to producer responsibility.
