Senior IT Support Specialist

Would you like to help ensure stable operations and high service quality in a growing organisation where proprietary systems and complex operational tasks are part of everyday work? Danish Producer Responsibility (DPA) is looking for an experienced and structured IT support professional who can take responsibility for operations, coordination, and prioritisation in a dynamic and development-oriented IT environment.

DPA plays a central role in supporting Denmark’s green transition and carries important societal responsibilities. We are committed to digitalisation and continuously develop our own core systems, creating a need for strong operational support, collaboration, and oversight.

You will join our IT & Data team in Copenhagen, where we work closely together in an informal, highly professional environment characterised by engagement, collaboration, and a focus on creating value for both the organisation and its users.

About IT & Data

As a Senior IT Support Specialist, you will become part of a team of six skilled colleagues responsible for operating and developing DPA’s IT infrastructure, as well as maintaining and supporting our core systems.

The team works across a broad range of activities, including data analysis and reporting, system administration, IT support, operational support, security analysis, and project delivery, often in close cooperation with external operations and development partners.

Your role

You will play a central role in managing support and operational tasks, helping to create structure, transparency, and progress in an environment where issue resolution and ongoing development take place simultaneously.

You will work with proprietary systems that continue to evolve and mature, requiring the ability to navigate complexity, maintain oversight, and ensure that operational challenges are resolved professionally and efficiently. The role combines hands-on IT support with coordination between business stakeholders and external IT suppliers.

You will be expected to prioritise tasks, maintain oversight, and drive issues to resolution, even when multiple stakeholders are involved.

Key responsibilities

  • Receive, prioritise, and manage IT support requests, providing 1st and 2nd line support, including troubleshooting and issue resolution related to Microsoft 365, Outlook, workstations, and standard applications.
  • Set up and prepare workstations, equipment, and user access for new employees, while supporting the organisation’s internal users.
  • Register, prioritise, and follow up on cases in Jira, analyse and define issues, and ensure that matters are either resolved internally or escalated to the appropriate supplier with clear documentation.
  • Coordinate incidents, defects, releases, and changes with external suppliers, ensuring progress, follow-up, and closure.
  • Support DPA’s employees and business areas in using business systems and digital solutions, translating business requirements into concrete IT-related tasks.
  • Work closely with colleagues and business functions to align user needs, internal processes, and technical solutions.
  • Contribute to the development of processes, procedures, and documentation, while helping to manage complex issues involving multiple stakeholders and suppliers.

Collaboration and cross-functional coordination

You will work closely with key stakeholders across the organisation and will:

  • Ensure effective handover of operational responsibilities and associated documentation.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, customer service teams, and system owners on issue prioritisation and resolution.
  • Handle day-to-day security-related matters and support compliance with internal policies.
  • Collaborate with suppliers responsible for operations, infrastructure, workplace services, and the development and maintenance of business-critical systems and applications.

This role is pivotal in ensuring effective collaboration between operations, business functions, and ongoing development activities.

About you

We are looking for an experienced professional who thrives on responsibility and complexity.

You likely have:

  • Significant experience in a similar role, preferably 4–7 years or more, such as IT Support Specialist, Application Support Specialist, Service Desk Consultant, IT Operations Consultant, Incident Coordinator, or a comparable position.
  • A structured and self-driven approach, with the ability to maintain overview and composure in complex situations.
  • A collaborative and service-oriented mindset.
  • Experience working with operations, support, and coordination in environments involving both internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft 365 and familiarity with ITIL and IT service management principles.
  • Experience with Jira, which is considered an advantage but is not required.

As a person, you:

  • Remain calm and professional, even under pressure.
  • Communicate clearly and manage expectations effectively.
  • Work constructively in a busy and evolving organisation.
  • Understand how to balance operational requirements with ongoing development initiatives.
  • Collaborate naturally with colleagues and contribute proactively when teamwork is required.

What we offer

  • A key role with significant influence on operations and processes.
  • The opportunity to work with and support proprietary systems under continuous development.
  • Close collaboration with suppliers responsible for DPA’s core systems, operations, and public-sector solutions.
  • A highly skilled professional environment with experienced colleagues and broad collaboration opportunities.
  • A growing organisation that offers responsibility, trust, and influence.
  • An informal workplace culture focused on well-being and professional development.

Working at DPA

At DPA, you will benefit from:

  • A high degree of autonomy and the opportunity to shape your responsibilities.
  • Opportunities to develop expertise in legislation, guidance, and data-related activities.
  • A collaborative work environment characterised by flexibility, humour, and respect for individual differences.
  • A 37-hour working week, including lunch.
  • The possibility of working from home one to two days per week, subject to agreement with your manager.

IT Project Manager

Help shape the next generation of digital solutions for sustainability

Are you an experienced IT Project Manager who thrives at the intersection of business, technology, and external suppliers? Are you motivated by driving progress, solving complex challenges, and ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the agreed quality standards? If so, you could be the IT Project Manager we are looking for at Danish Producer Responsibility (DPA).

Join a growing organisation

DPA is an independent organisation operating at the intersection of the public and private sectors. We carry out statutory and delegated responsibilities on behalf of the Danish Ministry of Climate, Energy and Utilities in relation to producer responsibility for packaging, single-use plastics, fishing gear, electrical and electronic equipment, batteries, and vehicles.

Our primary role is to develop and operate digital solutions that support the administration of producer responsibility and help businesses comply with their regulatory obligations. We also work closely with the Danish Energy Agency and the Ministry on the ongoing development of the producer responsibility framework.

As an IT Project Manager, you will join the Development and Digitalisation department and work closely with DPA’s other IT Project Manager. Together, you will drive a range of strategically important digital initiatives. While your colleague focuses primarily on internal project management and organisational implementation, you will take particular responsibility for managing external development suppliers and ensuring the successful delivery of projects and solutions.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate IT projects and development initiatives across the organisation.
  • Manage day-to-day collaboration with DPA’s development suppliers and ensure progress on development activities and deliverables.
  • Monitor contracts, budgets, timelines, quality standards, and agreed service levels.
  • Identify, manage, and resolve challenges related to supplier performance and ensure timely escalation when necessary.
  • Ensure that business needs are translated into practical and value-creating digital solutions.
  • Participate in steering committees and contribute decision materials, status reporting, and risk assessments.
  • Coordinate activities between business functions, public authorities, and external stakeholders.
  • Contribute to requirements gathering, quality assurance, and the review of solution designs, documentation, and deliverables.
  • Support the ongoing digitalisation of producer responsibility through the development and optimisation of DPA’s digital solutions.

About you

We expect you to have a relevant higher education qualification and several years of experience managing complex IT initiatives. Your experience may have been gained in roles such as IT Project Manager, Vendor Manager, Contract Manager, Service Delivery Manager, Programme Manager, or a similar position with responsibility for IT delivery and external supplier management.

Your job title is less important than your proven ability to drive progress, ensure delivery quality, and successfully navigate the relationship between business stakeholders, technology teams, and suppliers.

You will also have experience managing complex IT projects and be comfortable acting as the link between business, IT, and external partners. You are structured, persistent, and capable of maintaining momentum even when projects or deliveries encounter challenges.

Experience from the public sector, or from organisations delivering solutions to public-sector clients, would be considered an advantage.

We also value candidates who:

  • Have experience with supplier management, contract governance, and performance follow-up.
  • Are strong communicators with the ability to manage stakeholders across all organisational levels.
  • Can translate complex challenges into practical solutions and sound decision-making material.
  • Have experience incorporating user needs and usability considerations into development processes.
  • Take a structured approach and can maintain oversight in complex projects.
  • Have experience with requirements specification, quality assurance, and delivery reviews.
  • Communicate confidently in both Danish and English.

What we offer

This is a unique opportunity to join DPA in a newly established role with significant influence over how the function develops and evolves.

You will become part of a dynamic organisation characterised by trust, short decision-making processes, and a strong sense of community. We foster a culture built on professionalism, openness, and collaboration, and we are committed to supporting both your professional and personal development.
