Find your packaging category
When you are making your statutory registration for producer responsibility for packaging, you must place your packaging in a number of pre-determined packaging categories. These categories are based on the packaging material, the end-user segment, and how packaging is managed when it has become waste. Below you can find the packaging material, product type, and application fitting best your package, and you will get an indication of which categories to choose in the registration.
Results and responsibility
Danish Producer Responsibility reserves the right to make changes in legislation and other factors that may affect the results and the selection of packaging categories. The category selector is solely an advisory tool for producers and importers who wish to be guided in the selection of categories prior to the mandatory registration for packaging in the producer responsibility register.
The result of the category selection is based on the Danish Environmental Protection Agency's "Guidance No. 9793 of 01/07/2022 on sorting criteria for household waste" and the Danish Business Authority's packaging product codes.
